You can reuse juice or milk containers to make plastic lumber, or play sets. In addition, discarded electronics can be donated to repair shops or trade schools to use for training purposes.
In some instances equipment can be upgraded using microchips. These chips can boost specific capabilities, like speed of reloading or damage. They can also be used to boost beam-based weapons. However, it's important to note that these items won't increase the amount of charges or reload times They are only compatible with an upgraded version of the item.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that upgrades are rendered above the item and can obscure enchantment glints, or other visual effects. If you want to disable these overlays, you can do so in the Item Upgrader CORE client config under decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays. It's important to remember that recycling should only be considered as a last option. It's more important to reduce consumption and to concentrate on high-quality products that can be reused or repaired for other uses.
Rerolling
Rerolling lets players alter the stats of a ring, weapon or other armor. The green button on the item with circles that circle is pressed to perform this. The new stats will replace ones already on the item, which means you cannot have multiple upgrades on a single item. The rerolling process however, doesn't alter perks.
In contrast to enchantments upgrade items are consumed when they are used to roll an item. It is a cost of an amount of Valorstones or crests to increase an upgrade item's level. This cost will increase as the level of the item increases and is more expensive for items with higher levels.
Rerolling an item will not affect resistances, EDs or sockets. However, it may increase the damage of certain stats. Upgrade items can be upgraded in the like normal weapons. Their upgrade paths are based off of the stats for the base item. However, these upgrades can be rerolled to produce more powerful outcomes.
A sword, for instance could be upgraded to the halberd with an upgrader that boosts the damage of certain stats. This will increase the speed of attack of the item as well as increase the damage it can deal, even if it doesn't use physical attacks. However, the upgrade will not alter the damage base of a sword.

Sets

There are a handful of sets in the game that have particular bonuses when their parts are upgraded. It could be a +1 damage or a +2 defense. These sets are not exclusive to a certain race or class, and can be used by all characters. However, there are limitations to this since the items in the set must be of the same kind (armor, trinket, or weapon).
When upgrading an item, it's important to be aware that the upgrade could fail. If the upgrade fails, you'll lose the Upgrade Stones and Upgrade Crystals that were applied to the item. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens often enough that players must be aware when they upgrade their equipment. There are a few cash shop items that increase the chance of a successful upgrade and decrease the chance of losing equipment because of a failed upgrade.
It's important to remember that upgrading the gear you use will increase the stats of the base item as well as its requirements. This includes the armor’s damage, defense and required strength and agility. For weapons, this can increase the base damage. The upgrade system lets players to upgrade their favorite equipment. Although I don't believe that allowing upgrades for set items is a good idea, as it could trivialize game play, it could be an enjoyable option for uniques. For instance an Hwanins Bill may not be OP if upgraded, but it could be much more viable for early hell, and before high runewords become available.
Another useful feature of the upgrade system is rerolling. This lets you swap an item for another one that has an improved base stat and a bonus. A helmet can be transformed into a sword or shield or a guard can be transformed into a Cloak.
